Marlborough, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 16-and-under team fell to the New York Saints on Sunday afternoon by a score of 4-1.
The Saints struck first with 17:04 remaining in the first half and made it 2-0 with 7:50 on the clock.
Another goal with 5:47 left in the half put the 16U's down by three.
Lincoln Hennessy put the 16U's on the board with help from Max Ryan when he scored from down low with 9:36 to go.
Kyle Rushton skated to the bench for an extra attacker with 1:22 remaining, but the Saints killed any hopes for a comeback with an empty net goal 50 seconds before the buzzer.
The 16U's will be back in action on Saturday when they face Top Gun at the ICEnter in Salem, NH. Game time is set for 5:25 PM.
