Marlborough, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team dropped a 3-2 decision to the Rothesay Netherwood School Riverhawks on Friday night.
The Riverhawks led off the scoring with 17:24 to go in the opening half.
Will Doherty tied the game when he took a pass from Josh Guden across the slot and knocked it in back door with 8:28 on the clock.
The Riverhawks went into the break with a 2-1 lead thanks to a power play goal 2:43 before the buzzer.
Eli Pendergrass tied the game with 13:20 remaining when his shot through traffic found the back of the net, however, a power play goal by the Riverhawks put them back in the lead with 5:07 left.
The 18U's had a power play in the final minutes but were unable to net the equalizer before time expired.
The 18U's hope to rebound tomorrow when they face the Northern Cyclones 19U Prep team at 7:00 PM at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough.
