Marlborough, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 16-and-under team fell to the Atlantic Coast Academy 7-4 on Friday night.
Atlantic Coast Academy took the lead 3:11 into the game.
The 16U's tied it with a power play goal when Mike Moschella sent a pass to Andrew Bohannon on the point. Bohannon then fed Lincoln Hennessy in the right circle, and Hennesy blasted the puck in with 17:44 remaining in the first half.
Atlantic Coast Academy retook the lead with a shorthanded goal with 12:43 left in the half, but Bohannon set up Moschella down low to tie the game just 50 seconds later.
The tie was broken when Atlantic Coast Academy tallied a power play goal with 2:58 on the clock.
Once again, the 16U's knotted the score with 1:41 to go when Jack Kelleher netted a power play goal from Vincent Castro and Nolan O'Sullivan.
Just 14 seconds later, however, Atlantic Coast Academy retook the lead.
Atlantic Coast Academy made it 5-3 with 19:52 left in the game.
Moschella pulled the 16U's within one with help from O'Sullivan and Ryan Callahan with 10 minutes left.
Atlantic Coast Academy then bagged two more goals, one with 5:38 on the clock and another with 33 seconds left, to account for the final score.
The 16U's return tomorrow to face the Long Island Arrows at 5:50 PM at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough.
