Foxboro, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 16-and-under team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Cape Cod Whalers on Sunday afternoon.

The game was scoreless until the Whalers tallied with 7:58 to go in the opening half.

A power play goal with 3:24 left in the half put the 16U's down by two, and another 23 seconds before the buzzer put the 16U's down 3-0.

The Whalers netted two goals in 34 seconds starting at the 4:40 mark of the second half to go up by five.

A tally with 14:50 remaining increased the 16U's deficit to six, and a Whalers goal with 10:41 left accounted for the final score.

The 16U's will return to action on Friday at the 2023 Beantown Fall Classic. Game times and opponents will be announced later this week.
