Dorchester, MA- Simon Potoma tallied a goal and an assist and Kyle Bolduc (17 saves) and Owen Byers (9 saves) combined for a shutout as the GBL Boston Jr. Bruins took a victory against the Boston Little Bruins on Saturday night.
Potoma gave the 18U's the lead when he banged home Braydon Hudtloff's rebound with 8:57 left in the opening period. David Rainone also received an assist on the play.
The 18U's went up by two goals when Cole Estey set up Josh Itri in the slot and Itri scored 1:08 into the second period.
Axel Vaillincourt completed the scoring fifty-four seconds later with an assist to Potoma to account for the final score.
"Everyone, especially the goaltenders, played really well today," noted Potoma. "[The Little Bruins] had a short bench, but they have a lot of really good players and to beat them is huge for us.
"The vibe in the locker room is great right now," he added. "Everyone is really happy to be on a winning streak and we've got some unfinished business to take care of tomorrow. We can't wait."
The 18U's hope to extend their winning streak tomorrow when they close out the homestand against the East Coast Wizards at 2:00 PM.
