18U'S FALTER AGAINST PENGUINS

Dorchester, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team bowed to the Central Mass Penguins 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Goaltender Owen Byers, who would make 51 saves in the contest, and his Penguins counterpart kept the game scoreless until the Penguins knocked one in with 1:07 remaining in the opening period.

The Penguins would stretch the lead to two with nine seconds on the clock.

A Penguins goal with 2:55 left in the second period would put the 18U's down by three.

The Penguins opened the third period with a goal with 12:35 left and added three more before time expired.

The 18U's will take part in the Beast Columbus Day Showcase next weekend in Walpole and North Attleboro. Leading off the weekend will be a tilt with the New Jersey Titans at 8:40 on Friday night at the Rodman Arena.
