Ashburnham, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team fell 10-0 to the Central Mass Penguins on Saturday evening.
The Penguins broke the game open with 9:36 left in the opening period and then scored two more in the next minute and three seconds.
Another tally with 5:43 on the clock put the 18U’s down by four.
The second period saw neither team find the back of the net.
The Penguins, however, continued to roll, going up by five 1:46 into the third period and getting another one 31 seconds later.
The Penguins went up by seven with 6:56 on the clock and reeled off two more, starting with 2:58 remaining and another goal ten seconds later.
A goal with 14 seconds remaining rounded out the scoring.
The 18U's return to action tomorrow when they again face the Penguins at 2:00 PM at the Devine Memorial Rink.
