Bedford, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 16-and-under team bowed to the East Coast Wizards on Saturday evening despite two goals from Vincent Castro.

Castro gave the 16U's the lead 1:18 into the game when he took a pass from William TeDuits and fired it home from the right circle.

The Wizards tied the game at the five-minute mark.

Jack Kelleher pushed the 16U's ahead a minute and a half into the second period when he tallied with an assist from Lincoln Hennessy.

The Wizards again counterpunched with 11:12 on the clock.

A goal from Nick Thornton with assists from Hennessy and Joey Calder with 3:27 to go in the period made it 3-2 in favor of the 16U's, but a power-play goal by the Wizards 37 seconds before the buzzer made it a tie game going into the final period.

Castro netted his second of the game 1:35 into the third frame when he jammed the puck over the goal line. Brendan Bail was credited with an assist.

Fifty seconds later, the Wizards tied the game with a shorthanded goal.

Another power-play goal with 10:48 remaining gave the Wizards their first lead of the contest.

The Wizards built on their lead with a goal with 6:41 to go and iced the game with an empty-net goal with 5 seconds remaining.

The 16U's hope to get back on track tomorrow when they face the American Hockey Academy at 3:30 PM at the Devine Memorial Rink in Dorchester.
