Dorchester, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team dropped a 7-0 decision to the Central Mass Penguins on Saturday night.
Right out of the gate, the Penguins peppered 18U goaltender Kyle Bolduc with shots, but none found its way past the goalie until the Penguins scored a power play goal with 19:26 to go in the first half.
The Penguins bagged two more goals, one with 8:55 remaining and another with just under four minutes to go, to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission.
The Penguins struck again with 16:35 left in the game to go up by four.
Goals with 9:56 left and 5:42 remaining, followed by a shorthanded goal with 4:33 on the clock, rounded out the scoring. Bolduc finished the game with 42 saves.
The 18U's hope to rebound tomorrow when they face the Cape Cod Whalers at 3:30 PM at the Devine Memorial Rink in Dorchester.
