Dorchester, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18U team fell to the Boston Jr. Eagles 3-2 on Saturday night.

With 11 seconds to go before the buzzer, the 18U’s put serious pressure on the Eagles net and Michael Moschella took the puck behind the net and fed it to Nick Thornton in the slot, and Thornton fired it home to put the 18U’s on the board.

Jack Kelleher pulled the 18U’s back within one when Ben Romer sent him flying down the left wing and he roofed the puck over the Eagles goalie’s glove with 12:30 remaining.
Caleb Racki nearly tied the game with just under ten minutes to go when he picked up the puck in the neutral zone and skated in on a breakaway, but his shot missed the mark by the slimmest of margins.
Farese skated off for the extra attacker after an excellent 37-save outing with 1:38 remaining, but the Eagles stood their ground. The last chances for the 18U’s came when they drew a power play with 22 seconds left, but were unable to knot the score.
