18U’S BOW TO MOUNTAIN KINGS

Canton, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team fell to the New Hampshire Mountain Kings 6-3 on Sunday morning despite a two-goal performance by Steven Streeter.
 
Streeter gave the 18U’s the early lead when he took a pass from Aviv Rosenbaum  at the top of the slot and fired it home with 15:46 left in the first half.
 
A Jack Kelleher shot from the point 3:15 later was tipped into the net by a defenseman and put the 18U’s up by two. Joey Calder assisted on the play.
 
Just over a minute later, the Mountain Kings found the back of the net and tied the game with 5:47 on the clock.
 
Another Mountain Kings goal 3:12 before the buzzer put the 18U’s down by one.
 
The Mountain Kings went up by two at the 2:54 mark of the second half.
 
Streeter bagged his second goal of the game when he knocked in Rosenbaum's rebound with 15:11 to go.
 
A shorthanded goal by the Mountain Kings put the 18U’s back down by two.
 
Goaltender James Potter was pulled for an extra attacker with 3:12 left, but the Mountain Kings scored on the empty net with 1:07 remaining.
 
The 18U’s hope to right the ship next weekend when they appear at the EHF Selects Showcase at the Foxboro Sports Center. Game times and matchups will be determined this week.
