Rockland, MA- The GBL Boston Jr. Bruins 18-and-under team dropped a 6-2 decision to the Boston Jr. Eagles (Novak) on Saturday evening.
The Eagles broke the scoreless tie just over nine minutes into the contest and put the 18U’s down 2-0 with 3:15 left in the first half.
Jack Kelleher put the 18U’s on the board with a snipe from the blue line 32 seconds into the second half.
The Eagles restored the two-goal lead with 17:21 to go and scored again six minutes later.
With 1:56 to go and the 18U’s on the penalty kill, Jack D’Alelio broke out of the defensive zone and sent a cross-ice pass to Kelleher in the right circle and Kelleher banged it home to pull the 18U’s within two.
The Eagles responded with a power play goal 19 seconds later and then finished the scoring with 55 seconds on the clock.
The 18U’s return to Rockland tomorrow for a clash with the North Suburban Wings at 3:40 PM.
